Caution & Requirements

  • Each concentration requires 30 credits (10 courses) of classwork plus a master’s project completed under the supervision of a faculty member.
  • The graduate school requires a minimum 3.0 GPA for degree completion.
  • For Accelerated BS/MS students, enrollment into the master’s program must begin immediately upon completion of the bachelor’s degree, and the master's program must be completed within one year.

Caution & Requirements

  • Ph.D. students require continuous full-time enrollment and residency during their SBU visit semesters.
  • SOC 501, SOC 502, POL 501, POL 502 are not offered at SUNY Korea. Students must complete these courses during their SBU visiting semesters.
  • Failure to pass the Qualifying Examination within the approved timeline may result in program review.
  • If a Ph.D. student wants to take courses from other departments to be considered as its technical elective credit, the student must ontain an approval from the graduate program director.
